The company and opportunity: We are hiring for a Corporate Tax Manager to join a financial services company in central London. Your role will be to manage a diverse portfolio of clients from across Europe and be the main contact for corporate tax matters. You will support and guide clients on preparing and filing their corporate tax.
The job will include the following typical duties and responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients (privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses to multi-national firms) to include the preparation of Corporation Tax Returns.
- Support wider tax team with corporate tax planning and other advisory matters.
- Play an active role in business development on existing portfolio of clients.
- Prepare proposals and written advice across a range of topics to include multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, cross-border transactions and UK inbound/outbound investments.
- Contribute to the overall future growth of the corporate tax team and of the business.
- Respond quickly to, as well as anticipate client requests/needs, keep clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided and maintain regular contact with clients.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, banks, other professionals.
Candidate Profile:
- Fluent English is essential. Fluent also in either Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Russian or Turkish is preferred.
- Specialist in Corporate Tax with a mix of compliance and advisory experience in a Top10 network firm.
- Experience working in a UK tax advisory and compliance department.
- ACA/ACCA qualified.
- CTA qualified advantageous - high performing applicants with other relevant tax experience who hold a suitable foreign tax qualification will also be considered.
- Strong organization skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Excellent level of Microsoft Office Suite, OneSource, IRIS, Sage, FreeAgent, Xero, Caseware, SAP.
- Sound knowledge of UK corporate and income taxation.
Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary: Β£70,000 β Β£100,000. Performance based incentive scheme payable quarterly depending on seniority.
