The Opportunity

A global, high-growth organisation is expanding its footprint across Europe and looking to hire a Tax Manager to help shape how that growth is managed from a tax perspective. This is a genuinely broad, multi-disciplinary role sitting at the heart of the EMEA tax function, spanning European direct tax, US GAAP reporting, transfer pricing, Pillar Two and UK tax governance.

If you’re a European tax professional who wants more than a narrow compliance remit, someone who enjoys owning a portfolio of markets, working directly with the business, and having a real say in how the tax function evolves, this is built for you.

The Role of the EMEA Tax Manager

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of European markets, working closely with local finance teams and external advisers to keep compliance sharp and processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full direct tax cycle for the EMEA markets including corporate income tax return preparation with local external advisers.
  • Preparing and submitting US tax reporting (GAAP) including quarterly current and deferred tax provisions using TaxStream technology.
  • Managing UK-specific requirements including Senior Accounting Officer (SAO), Tax Strategy publication and Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO).
  • Advising finance and business stakeholders on tax matters and building trusted relationships.
  • Contributing to the COE's strategy around standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring developments across your markets, analysing their impact, and proactively communicating what matters to the people who need to know.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Fluent in English. Additional European languages are a bonus, but not a requirement.
  • Be a qualified accountant and/or chartered tax adviser (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Solid grounding in tax accounting, tax provisioning and statutory audit support.
  • Experience managing external advisers is ideal.
  • Confidence reviewing and signing off compliance deliverables.
  • The ability to translate complex tax issues into clear, practical guidance for non-tax stakeholders.
  • A genuine interest in tax technology, process improvement and automation.
  • Strong personal organisation, ownership and the ability to juggle multiple markets and deadlines with ease.
  • Be organised, ownership-driven, and comfortable managing multiple markets and deadlines simultaneously.

Salary and Benefits

Competitive salary up to £75,000.

Benefits include:

  • 14% annual bonus.
  • £7,000 car allowance.
  • Long Term Incentive Plan eligibility.
  • Private family healthcare.
  • Attractive pension scheme.
  • Hybrid working model (50% home / 50% office).
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and festive shutdown.
  • Career development and qualification support.
  • Modern office facilities with onsite benefits and parking.
