Our client, a homeless charity based in Twickenham, is currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to cover a sabbatical leave for an initial 6-month FTC. Reporting to the HR Director, the purpose of this role is to provide a proactive, professional and solutions-focused generalist HR service across the organisation. The position will lead on a range of HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR practices and processes. Responsibilities include: Provide expert HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees across the full range of employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies and best practice. Support the HR Director in developing, implementing and reviewing HR policies, procedures and guidance to ensure compliance with employment legislation, ACAS guidance and best practice. Work collaboratively with the Recruitment and Resourcing Assistant to provide HR advice throughout the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policy and safer recruitment principles. Work in partnership with the Learning and Development Advisor to identify management development needs arising from employee relations trends, organisational change and workforce planning. About you: CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent knowledge and experience). Sound knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application. Good understanding of HR best practice across the employee lifecycle. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines. Strong employee relations experience, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector. A calm, consistent and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to advise and support colleagues at all levels.
