Langley Trust is looking for an experienced and motivated Housing and Registered Care Manager to lead our Wakefield team. This is a permanent , full-time position working 37 hours per week, offering a salary of 44,585 per annum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide visible, strategic Christian leadership, maintaining a Christ-centred culture that reflects Langleys values, ethos and reputation.
  • Lead, supervise and develop a strong staff team through effective recruitment, appraisal, pastoral support, fair rotas and regular team communication.
  • Ensure clients receive safe, respectful and person-centred care and support, with outcomes managed effectively through case management systems and care plans.
  • Build strong partnerships with churches, faith communities, local authorities, probation, police, prisons and other agencies to support referrals, risk management and move-on opportunities.
  • Manage service quality, compliance, occupancy, budgets, buildings, payments and reporting in line with contractual, regulatory and statutory requirements.

ABOUT YOU

  • Faith-led and values-driven, you are a practising Christian with a strong understanding of Christian doctrine and a commitment to leading teams in line with Langley Trust's mission, values, and culture.
  • Qualified and knowledgeable, you hold (or are working towards) a QCF Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice including CQC, MCA, DoLS, Health & Safety, and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
  • An experienced and inspiring leader, you have a proven track record of managing services, teams, budgets, and complex client groups, with the communication, planning, and relationship-building skills needed to drive positive change and deliver outstanding outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian who will create an environment where people feel valued, empowered and equipped to do their best work. This person will play a full part to further the organisational aims and provide strong Christian leadership to allow Langley to be a leader within the different sectors in which it operates. The postholder will always uphold the Trusts Christian ethos and Christ like culture and therefore there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing and professing Christian under the Equality Act 2010.

Please note that the successful candidate will need to be happy to adapt to change and flexible in their duties. No one day will be the same so the ability to refocus frequently is important.
