Langley is seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Learning and Development Manager to lead learning initiatives across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills to shape learning experiences, build capability, and support colleagues to thrive. Based from home, with regular travel to our Central Office in Coventry and services nationwide, this is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, offering a salary of 44,585 per annum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and inspire the Learning & Development team to deliver an innovative, high-quality service aligned with the Trust's strategy, mission and Christian values.
  • Actively contribute to the Christian life of the Trust, modelling its beliefs and values through prayer, devotions, worship and Christ-centred leadership.
  • Develop and deliver engaging learning programmes, training content and leadership development opportunities that support staff capability, compliance and professional growth.
  • Oversee the Langley Academy, onboarding, accredited development programmes, apprenticeships, study sponsorship and professional qualifications.
  • Manage budgets, resources, suppliers and learning partners effectively, evaluating training impact and fostering a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bring proven leadership experience, including managing teams and budgets, ideally within care, housing or a related sector.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, training delivery, analytical and collaborative skills, with the flexibility to travel, work remotely and support inclusive practice.
  • The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian who will create an environment where people feel valued, empowered and equipped to do their best work.
  • This person will play a full part to further the organisational aims and provide strong Christian leadership to allow Langley to be a leader within the different sectors in which it operates.
  • The postholder will always uphold the Trust's Christian ethos and Christ-like culture and therefore there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing and professing Christian under the Equality Act 2010.
  • Please note that the successful candidate will need to be happy to adapt to change and flexible in their duties. No one day will be the same so the ability to refocus frequently is important.

A satisfactory Basic DBS check is required for this role and job offers will be subject to the Trust receiving satisfactory evidence of the successful applicant's right to work in the UK.
