Are you a creative and friendly Cook with a passion for preparing nutritious and well-balanced meals? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Part-time Permanent Cook to join our team based in our care home in Bury on a permanent basis, working 20 hours per week. This may include some weekend working.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £12,860 per annum as well as other generous benefits which include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving well balanced and nutritious food and ensuring that food is stored according to food hygiene legislation
  • Promoting high standards and complying with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Carrying out food and fridge temperature checks, and recording as necessary
  • Interacting with our service users daily and overseeing service user activities within the kitchen
  • Planning menus in consultation with the manager and service users and ensuring that there are sufficient quantities of stock to enable the meals to be prepared
  • Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to
