Langley is pleased to offer an opportunity for compassionate and motivated Relief Support Workers to join our friendly, dedicated team in Taunton. This flexible relief role allows you to work with the Manager to arrange shifts that suit your availability. We are looking out for staff for both night and day shifts.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Β£14.02 per hour, reflecting the value and positive impact of this important work.

About the Role

  • Provide support, maintaining accurate client records and using the Trust Client File to review progress and promote independence.
  • Contribute to a safe, well-run service by following medication procedures, supporting participation and client meetings/involvement (including complaints), supporting prospective/former residents, maintaining safe/tidy environments, and participating in rotas and team meetings.
  • Provide personal care as identified in care plans (including supporting with hygiene, dressing, continence care, mobility/moving and handling, and supporting access to health and social care professionals) and keep health-related records and care plans up to date.
  • Assess and manage risk and challenging behaviour, using client knowledge, planning and de-escalation, and maintain service security and situational/physical safety measures, liaising with relevant stakeholders as needed.

  • Willingness to complete additional training as required by the needs of the service.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and unsociable hours as part of a rota.
