Overview
Senior Category Manager – Construction & FM
My client, a high profile public sector organisation, are currently recruiting into a Head of Commercial – Construction and Estates level opportunity that will provide strategic advice and guidance around areas such as organisational-wide strategy enablement from a commercial perspective, category strategies / market engagement, risk management, procurement routes to market etc.
Engaging as a strategic advisor both within the procurement / commercial function and into key stakeholders, the successful candidate will bring a solution focussed, collaborative and business partnering approach.
Applicants will ideally bring a blend of the following:
- Strategic Category Management experience, gained within construction / estates / FM spend areas
- Ability to shape / deliver overarching category strategies that will enable best-fit procurement routes to market that lead to enhanced commercial efficiencies, value and savings
- Collaborative approach that will blend commercial risk awareness with solution focussed delivery
- Excellent senior stakeholder relationship / business partnering skills
- Public Sector or regulated environment experience is desirable
