Learning Support Assistant
Term time: 30.83 hours / 38 weeks per year (incl. INSET Days)
Hours: 8.15am - 3.25pm
Salary: NJC Scale 2 Points 3-4 (£28,617-£29,025 FTE); Actual salary: £20,480 per annum depending on experience
Role Overview
You will support an individual child or various students with special educational needs and disabilities across the curriculum. Working with class teachers, the SEND team and medical support staff, you will assist students with their education and, where appropriate, support access to the curriculum for those who are physically or otherwise prevented from doing so themselves.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students with SEND in learning and participation across subjects.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons and resources.
- Support students to develop independent learning skills.
- Assist with behaviour management and create a positive learning environment.
- Provide on‑site training and support focused on identified student needs.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience and/or any relevant qualifications are desirable, but first and foremost we want to appoint those with a commitment to working with children and young people.
