Langley Park School for Boys is an exceptional school that ensures excellent academic outcomes for our students. We are a large, inclusive, over-subscribed, 11-18 school with a co-educational Sixth Form. We consistently achieve high academic success, whilst maintaining a commitment to educating the ‘whole child’ through the promotion of sport and the arts as part of a well-rounded curriculum. We are part of Impact Multi Academy Trust, and we work closely within the Trust with our other four secondary schools and our three primary schools.
The department has seven workshops and a food technology room, in addition to a laser cutter, two CNC routers and a 3D printer printing farm. We use CAD and CAM extensively at all key stages, using SolidWorks and 2D design. This is a permanent full-time position that would commence September 2026 and would be suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
What we are looking for:
- Have an ability to teach Design & Technology in a way that keeps students engaged and stimulated.
- Have a proven record as an excellent classroom practitioner.
- Have experience of, or be willing to teach across all Key Stages.
- Be willing to teach Design & Technology up to Key Stage 4 in Resistant Materials / Product Design.
- Have excellent IT skills and be keen to keep up to date with current technology as all our portfolio submissions are electronic.
- Be an experienced teacher (or a newly qualified teacher with a specialism in product design / resistant materials or electronics).
