Office Assistant (Entry Level) is required by a company currently based in Ringwood initially and then moving to Bournemouth from the 10th April, for an initial 3-month contract. It is highly likely to become a permanent role thereafter, paying £23,800. You will be joining an expanding Technical Managed Service Provider and will work closely with the Senior Office Administrator. The role involves comprehensive training, but you must be a quick learner, able to perform and manage multiple tasks, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Training will be given.
  • You will provide administrative support related to customer requests and company projects. This will entail opening the boxes, asset tagging, scanning a barcode and capturing the phone details in a spreadsheet along with a few more details. It is not a technical role, so not configuring the handsets; it is following a process to the letter, so an eye for detail and being analytical is perfect for this role.
  • Equipment Management: Quoting and ordering equipment (e.g., for New Starters/IT accessory requests).
  • Inventory & Assets: Booking in stock/customer equipment, registering warranties, and managing/updating client assets.
  • Logistics: Cross-checking and dispatching goods, including packaging, updating customers, and generating shipping labels.
  • Returns: Arranging equipment returns, assessing items for repair, reallocation, or decommissioning.
  • Customer Support: Handling overflow calls from the Helpdesk, logging tickets, and dealing with general customer queries.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigation of non-deliveries.
  • General Admin: Assisting with documentation, maintaining office supplies and covering additional duties during team absences.
