G Suite/Google Workspace Field Engineer, highly Hybrid, home based apart from infrequent client site visits. Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-growing managed service provider (MSP). This is a highly flexible hybrid role paying up to 35k + travel; it is heavily hybrid - when you aren't visiting client sites across London, you will be fully home-based.
The client operates on Google Workspace and Mac by choice - they live and breathe Apple for business. However, because their clients use a mix of environments, we are looking for someone who is just as comfortable administering Google Workspace and macOS as they are supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows.
If you thrive in a fast-paced MSP environment, love a mix of Mac and Windows, and want a role where you can actually implement automation and AI tools rather than just talk about them, we want to speak with you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Seamless Client Support: Act as the face of the service desk, providing exceptional 2nd line troubleshooting across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms.
- Cloud & Platform Administration: Move fluently between managing user permissions and lifecycles in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and a growing ecosystem of SaaS platforms.
- User & Device Lifecycle: Handle everything from secure offboarding to configuring devices and running engaging new-starter inductions.
- Smarter Working: Utilise HaloPSA and ClickUp to manage workflows while proactively finding ways to build automations or explore how AI tools (like Claude and Make) can eliminate repetitive tasks.
- Knowledge Sharing: Keep internal documentation and asset records thorough and flawless so the whole team benefits from what you learn.
What You Need
- MSP Pedigree: At least 2 years of proven experience in a fast-paced MSP service desk environment.
- Apple & Google Fluency: Strong, hands-on administration skills in Google Workspace and macOS. Exposure to Apple Business Manager or Apple-centric MDMs (like Jamf or Mosyle) is a massive plus.
- The Right Balance: The ability to support Microsoft 365 and Windows alongside your Mac expertise, paired with a solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi).
- Attentive Communication: Exceptional, clear communication. You can talk to anyone - from a creative agency director to a busy retail founder - with a calm head, absolute discretion, and a friendly, ego-free attitude.
- London Mobility: Based within an easy, accessible commute into and around London for essential, occasional face-to-face client visits.
- Forward-Thinking Mindset: You don't just patch issues; you look for the right fix over the quick one, and you possess a naturally security-focused mindset.
What's in it for you?
This is a chance to grow alongside a company where your role will genuinely evolve over the next 12 months. Alongside a collaborative, ego-free culture, you'll receive 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays and your birthday off), a generous technology budget to set up your home office perfectly, and a structured training programme to ensure your professional development never stalls.
If you're ready to make a real impact and love the variety of a modern, flexible MSP, let's talk.
