It is a heavily hybrid role and pays circa 50k.

  • Build End-to-End Power BI Solutions: Design, develop, and optimise high-performing Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling, and data visualisation best practices.
  • Confidently Engage Stakeholders: Work directly with operational and leadership teams to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, translate business questions into technical BI solutions, and present actionable insights clearly.
  • Data Management & Optimisation: Utilise strong SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and validation while implementing robust ETL/ELT processes and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks across datasets.
  • Champion Data Governance: Ensure high standards of data quality, data integrity, security, and BI platform best practices across all deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain analytical capabilities and explore broader capabilities (such as Azure Data Services, Qlik, Cognos TM1, or AI-enabled forecasting where applicable).

What You'll Bring

  • BI Development Experience: A proven track record of delivering end-to-end business intelligence solutions in complex environments.
  • Microsoft Fabric Platform Expertise (Essential): Demonstrable hands-on experience in the operation, management, or usage of Microsoft Fabric to deliver data solutions.
  • Advanced Power BI & SQL Skills: Expertise in DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling, report performance tuning, and writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Strong Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Confident in leading requirement workshops, pushing back constructively, and explaining technical data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: A detail-oriented mindset focused on data accuracy, governance, and delivering insight that influences practical business decisions.
  • Desirable Background: Exposure to broader Azure Data Services, Qlik, Cognos TM1, or machine learning/AI forecasting is a bonus.

Who You Are

  • A Collaborative Business Partner: Comfortable operating as the connector between technical teams and operational stakeholders.
  • Detail-Oriented & Quality-Focused: Unwavering commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and platform governance.
  • Proactive & Self-Motivated: Capable of managing competing priorities and continuously improving the value and usability of BI products.
