Fabric PowerBI Developer with extensive MS Fabric skills is required by a renowned organisation based in Crewe, expanding its data team and seeking a skilled BI Developer (Microsoft Fabric & Power BI) to design, build, and support enterprise business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the business. It is a heavily hybrid role and pays circa 50k.
In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical execution, taking end-to-end ownership of Power BI dashboard delivery while utilising hands-on Microsoft Fabric capabilities to support a scalable, modern data environment.
What You'll Do
- Drive Microsoft Fabric Delivery: Apply practical hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric to integrate and manage data, support platform governance, manage access controls, and monitor/troubleshoot workloads.
- Build End-to-End Power BI Solutions: Design, develop, and optimise high-performing Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced DAX, Power Query, semantic modelling, and data visualisation best practices.
- Confidently Engage Stakeholders: Work directly with operational and leadership teams to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, translate business questions into technical BI solutions, and present actionable insights clearly.
- Data Management & Optimisation: Utilise strong SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and validation while implementing robust ETL/ELT processes and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks across datasets.
- Champion Data Governance: Ensure high standards of data quality, data integrity, security, and BI platform best practices across all deliverables.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain analytical capabilities and explore broader capabilities (such as Azure Data Services, Qlik, Cognos TM1, or AI-enabled forecasting where applicable).
