AI Implementation Engineer to design, develop, implement and maintain intelligent automation solutions across a professional services firm based in the City of London. The AI automation engineer must have a proven track record of actually implementing/delivering AI automations. The role focuses on leveraging the Microsoft technology stack, including Copilot Enterprise, Power Apps, Azure services, Python, and OpenAI technologies, to streamline workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.
The successful AI Implementation Engineer will work closely with the Innovations Team, Data, IT, Operations, and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, implement scalable AI solutions, and ensure strong governance, security, and best practices across all automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- AI & Automation: Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Enterprise, Power Apps, Azure AI services, Python, and OpenAI technologies. Develop and maintain automated workflows to optimise internal processes and improve productivity. Build intelligent assistants, automation scripts, and integrations across business systems. Create reusable automation frameworks and components to accelerate development.
- Workflow & Operational Efficiency: Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation. Implement workflow automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. Integrate AI tools with existing platforms, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and enterprise applications. Monitor automation performance and continuously improve workflows.
- Governance & Best Practice: Establish and maintain governance frameworks for AI and automation tools across the organisation. Ensure solutions comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Implement best practices for AI usage, data management, and automation lifecycle management. Maintain documentation, version control, and deployment standards.
- IT Security & Compliance: Work closely with IT security teams to ensure AI solutions meet organisational security standards. Implement secure authentication, access controls, and data protection within automation systems. Conduct risk assessments for AI tools and automation workflows. Ensure compliance with data privacy and responsible AI guidelines.
- Tool Maintenance & Platform Management: Manage and maintain AI and automation platforms within the Microsoft ecosystem. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. Ensure AI tools and integrations remain up to date and aligned with new platform capabilities. Support ongoing optimisation of Copilot and automation tools across departments.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver automation solutions. Provide guidance and training to business users adopting AI-powered tools. Support organisational AI adoption and promote responsible usage of AI technologies.
- Proven experience developing automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Strong programming skills in Python for automation and AI integration.
- Experience working with Azure services, particularly AI, automation, and integration tools.
- Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI or similar AI technologies into business workflows.
- Experience working with Microsoft Copilot Enterprise or similar enterprise AI tools.
- Strong understanding of workflow automation, APIs, and system integrations.
- Knowledge of IT security principles, identity management, and data protection.
- Experience implementing governance frameworks and best practices for AI systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Azure AI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, or Cognitive Services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Experience integrating AI solutions with Microsoft 365 environments (Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook).
