Seeking a talented, project-focused Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer with deep M365, MDM, and networking skills to join an exceptional, highly innovative tech firm near Euston Station. Are you a skilled infrastructure professional looking to step away from repetitive helpdesk loops and genuinely build, secure, and engineer a modern cloud and network environment? This is a phenomenal opportunity to join a welcoming, multi-award‑winning technology organisation officially ranked as one of the UK's Top 100 Best Workplaces in Tech.
Operating with a sophisticated 12‑strong IT department, the team is perfectly structured to let you focus on what you do best: 3rd line escalations, infrastructure projects, and system design. With 4 dedicated Service Desk analysts handling the day‑to‑day tickets, you will work closely alongside fellow Systems/Infrastructure Engineers, an IT Security Manager, and the Head of IT to drive the estate forward.
The Environment & Scale
Supporting 4 distinct offices and a user base of 300 highly tech‑savvy professionals, this role manages a truly modern hybrid footprint. Imagine a business that offers a double‑matched pension up to 10%, a flexible 4% benefits allowance, an annual bonus, and a hyper‑flexible hybrid work‑life balance—while the official policy is just 2 days a week in the central London HQ, the reality is often even more flexible.
The Role & Technical Focus
As a core Systems Administrator, you won’t just be following admin prompts; you will actively build, configure, and secure the IT stack from the ground up. Your day‑to‑day will involve:
- Modern Identity & MDM: Advanced configuration of Microsoft Entra ID and complete endpoint management utilising Intune and Jamf.
- Core Networking: Hands‑on engineering of local networks, switches, VLANs, and firewalls (such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet) – designing and creating isolated R&D lab environments.
- Security & SIEM Appreciation: Working alongside the Security Manager to monitor vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and implement automated patching using tools like Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, or Automox.
- Data Governance: Structuring and administering SharePoint document management models and site architectures.
This exciting position has come about solely due to organic growth and ongoing investment into their central IT and lab capabilities, creating a fantastic space for a proactive engineer who wants to see their ideas valued and implemented immediately, rather than delayed by corporate red tape. Arrangements for interviews are being made for next week. If you are a builder looking for a supportive, project‑driven, Top 100 workspace, please apply with your CV today to learn more!
