Job Description
As a Senior Strategist at Langland, you will be joining our award-winning Advertising discipline, focused on the art and science of inspirational brand building.
Across Langland, our Think Further positioning captures our conviction that health extends across people, science, business and society. As an integrated agency of four disciplines centred around three key crafts, we believe that bringing together different experiences and perspectives provides opportunities to create healthier futures, together. It is a developing narrative within the agency, and we need people eager to embrace it, seeing where new opportunities lie, and judging when and where to push.
Whatever you’re working on, you’ll be able to independently and proactively manage projects, workloads and take responsibility for deliverables. You’ll have an innate dissatisfaction with norms and you’ll be continually looking for ways to upskill, innovate and improve yourself, our team and our agency.
Key responsibilities:
- Build marketing, brand and creative strategies while demonstrating knowledge of fundamental strategy techniques, types of strategy, basics of insight and tactical planning
- Identify client business problems and look for strategic answers to issues
- Own, lead and deliver strategy in advertising pitches
- Interpret client brand plans and translate these into action plans, developing comprehensive creative strategies based on client needs
- Keep the creative process on brief and take the client stakeholders along the briefing and creative journey
- Provide strategic feedback to the creative team, ensuring the voice of the customer is at the heart of the work
- Manage the creative validation and concept testing process
- Build communications ideas and journeys based on behavioural insights
- Construct a customer journey tactical plan across multi-media
- Manage research and insight design, translate data into compelling insight with robust experience in both qual and quant methodologies
- Run audience interviews/surveys to extract insight
- Monitor client and competitor activity, keeping on top of market trends, M&A, new product launches, market and brand growth statistics and market financial reports
- Leadership of workshops, playing a key role in break out groups
Qualifications
This role is suited to a established Senior Strategist or a Midweight looking to step up, with proven experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals (essential).
You should have:
- Expert working knowledge of brand positioning methodologies
- Detailed understanding of how brands grow as well as the different strategies and tactics used to drive growth
- A deep love of the creative product and value the craft
- Confident presentation skills and ability to lead client meetings and workshops
- Solid experience in constructing and running excellent workshops from large to small client teams, particularly brand and communications planning sessions
- Excellence in PowerPoint, and visualisation of concepts and data – can bring to life a compelling strategic story on screen
- Strong writing ability, and understanding of the value in accurate and well crafted PowerPoint presentations
