As a Senior Scientific Strategist at Langland, you will play a pivotal role within each client account. You will be responsible for the development of the scientific strategy for both specific projects and within the broader context of medical or brand planning. You will identify and translate insights into actionable recommendations and serve as the go-to person for the clinical and commercial implications of evolving therapeutic landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Synthesize and translate medical and commercial insights (e.g. market landscape patterns) into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Serve as a point of authority internally and externally for the clinical and commercial relevance of emerging trends and data.
- Lead origination of account scientific strategy and proactively evolve as needed.
- Oversee project briefs and deliverables from a scientific strategy perspective to ensure alignment with medical and commercial goals on assigned accounts (across disciplines, working with strategists from other disciplines).
- Establish strong external relationships, and act as a strategic partner to both commercial and medical core clients.
- Identify and proactively pursue strategic/complex opportunities for organic growth with existing clients and identify opportunities for integrated approaches/other disciplines or services.
- Lead scientific strategy approach for MSE/integrated new business proposals and confidently present scientific insights and scientific strategy points of view in pitches.

Qualifications
- Considerable experience within a medical communications agency or an in‑house pharma med comms team, demonstrating:
- Aptitude at assimilating large quantities of scientific and medical information, and distilling it down into the key strategic points.
- Effectiveness (and innovation) in obtaining and/or generating scientific insights.
- Support in originating or evolving a brand scientific strategy.
- Strong internal, client and expert relationships.
- Ability to deliver compelling verbal and written communications, and persuade stakeholders.
