Overview

In this Associate Director-level role, you will lead a high-performing writing team, being accountable for scientific knowledge and content development on one large account and/or several smaller accounts for the business, being seen as a leader of scientific knowledge, content creation, and medical communications activities, across the MSE Team at Langland.

Responsibilities

  • Providing effective leadership for a medical writing team
  • Being seen by the client/experts as a lead member of the team
  • Supporting Client Services with resource alignment and recruitment to optimise team performance
  • Advocate for the medical writing team both internally and externally
  • Taking overall responsibility for a writing team’s content delivery for designated accounts
  • Leading scientific pitch research and presentation for MSE opportunities
  • Providing active counsel and recommendations to clients, partnering with client teams to develop editorial and content plans and optimise the impact of the writing team
  • Maintaining high-profile visibility within the agency as a content and scientific expert across multiple therapy areas
  • Proactively identifying opportunities and threats to the team, and evolving business needs
  • Supporting the development of therapy area and/or brand scientific strategy (in collaboration with the Scientific Strategy Team where appropriate)

Qualifications

  • Considerable experience within a medical communications agency
  • Considerable experience in medical writing within medical affairs and medical education
  • Overarching scientific and content leadership for accounts
  • Responsibility for maintaining high editorial and scientific standards across a team
  • Development of writing talent through direct line management and training
  • An ability to motivate and inspire people, and elevate standards of content curation
  • Strong internal, client and expert relationships

Please note: Publicis Groupe operates a hybrid working pattern with full time employees being office-based three days during the working week.
