Job Description
A Director acts as a partner to clients by leading, developing and building relationships. They are the daily strategic lead on their accounts. The role will manage multiple accounts/portfolios, being accountable for a revenue target and pursuing opportunities to grow the business against that target. The role will lead a specific business management function (e.g. recruitment or finances) within the discipline with support from the Managing Partner (MP). The role has a significant input in business development opportunities and takes a key role in pitch and proposal development. The role is that of problem solver, proactively finding and recommending solutions and ways for the business to evolve, improve, grow. The role will seek peer and SME (subject matter expert) input to ensure the client is at the centre of our solutions, but retains overall responsibility and accountability for our outputs. The role requires a point of view on strategic direction of the discipline
What you will do (Your Responsibilities):
Strategic capability
- Acts as a senior client service representative and leads the daily strategic direction for clients.
- Understands clients’ key business objectives/ challenges (brand and portfolio) and proactively assists them to deliver or resolve.
- Delivers on core agency objectives against the annual business plan.
- Supports development of the annual business plan for the discipline.
- Is seen as a strategic leader by team members.
Creative capability
- Evaluates creative work and keeps abreast of brand specific trends to offer added value to the client or creative product.
Innovation, collaboration and cross-discipline
- Partners with internal disciplines/agencies to create innovative solutions and drive results for specific clients.

Business development

- Maintains account oversight ensuring highest quality standards in project delivery
Financial capability
- Responsible for revenue target across accounts or portfolio of accounts and client-associated costs.
- Responsible for account forecasting (Opening annual budget, quarterly re-forecast, monthly updates) and attaining revenue targets and profitability.
- Aggressively monitors fee performance to ensure account profitability.
- Actively contributes to discipline monthly revenue stratification, billability, timely and accurate submission of hours and utilisation.
Interpersonal and leadership capability
- Displays best practice people management with assigned line reports.
- Can be trusted with confidential and sensitive information.
- Can deliver communication on agency policy or strategy regardless of input/agreement.
- Builds teams based on business need and potential opportunity – includes mapping out right team structure, setting up the team for success, identifying short-term support requirement and inspiring/motivating the team to deliver efficiently.
- Manages recruitment and training, and champions personal development and continuous feedback within their team/workstream, as well as promoting high employee morale and engagement.
- Proactively leads the team, managing all employee- related responsibilities including recruitment, pay cycles/promotions, underperformance, and proactively coaches and mentors team members to achieve their desired goals.
- Motivates the team and proactively finds ways to boost team morale.
Content development and delivery capability
- Champions good internal communication practice within the discipline.
- Effectively delivers persuasive recommendations/ presentations to clients.
- Mentors and coaches the team to ensure the highest quality standards for client delivery.
- Adapts communication style to suit the audience; is well respected and influential when dealing with teams and clients.
- Communicates confidently with people within the agency and wider Publicis Groupe.

- You’ll have experience of building and managing teams, and managing and motivating juniors, as well as being able to effectively manage relationships with senior management
- You will have experience line managing, developing, mentoring and motivating junior members of the team
- You will have business management experience taking responsibility for financial management of accounts, preparing forecasts
