We’re working with a pioneering motorsport technology provider that’s transforming how top-tier race teams unlock vehicle performance. Their advanced simulation tools are used at the highest levels of sport. We are recruiting a Graduate Vehicle Dynamics & Simulation Engineer to join its team developing advanced vehicle modelling and simulation technology.
This role is specifically aimed at graduates who have already gained hands-on vehicle dynamics experience through Formula Student, motorsport internships, race engineering, performance engineering, vehicle modelling projects, or similar motorsport-related activities.
The Role
Working alongside experienced simulation and vehicle dynamics specialists, you will receive extensive training while contributing to the development, testing, and validation of advanced simulation tools used within high-performance engineering environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development of vehicle dynamics and simulation models
- Analysing simulation results and comparing them with real-world vehicle behaviour
- Assisting with feature development and validation activities
- Contributing to testing, visualisation, and software quality processes
- Working with engineers and customers to understand performance requirements
- Helping translate technical feedback into new product improvements
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A degree in Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM discipline
- Practical vehicle dynamics, vehicle performance, race engineering, vehicle modelling, or vehicle science experience gained through Formula Student, Motorsport internships, Placement years, Student racing teams, Motorsport-related projects or work experience
- Knowledge of simulation, optimisation, control systems, or applied mathematics
- Programming experience in an object-oriented language (C++ desirable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Race engineering or performance engineering exposure
- Vehicle simulation software
- Data analysis and visualisation tools
- MATLAB / Simulink
- Motorsport competition experience
- Interests in wider engineering disciplines such as aerospace, sailing, control systems, or human performance
