Solution Architect 6 month contract | likely to extend through 2027 | £500 – £600 per day | Outside IR35 Fully Remote We are looking for a contract Solution Architect with experience of onboarding and integrating new solutions into existing business systems for our plc client. We are seeking a Solution Architect who combines good stakeholder management and communication skills, high-level design experience and experience in selecting, onboarding and integrating new software solutions. The role: The Solution Architect will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, IT teams, and business stakeholders, bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery Key Responsibilities Define and document end-to-end solution architectures, producing High-Level Designs for governance approval. Lead technology option assessments, integration approaches, and data architecture design. Facilitate vendor selection, licensing discussions, and service transition. Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and align solutions to business needs. Provide architectural oversight during pilots, rollout, and transition into BAU. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with expertise in onboarding applications into existing business environments. Strong background in application, data, and integration architecture. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Able to act as the glue between PM, BA other IT Teams (security, infrastructure) Ability to work in environments with low delivery maturity, joining the dots across teams to drive coherent outcomes. Strong analytical skills with ability to shape business requirements into practical solutions. Broad knowledge across IT domains (infrastructure, data, security, service transition). Architecture certification (TOGAF, Archimate) desirable
