Project Manager
We are actively seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our client, engineering advanced systems in the oil and gas industry.
As the project manager, you will oversee every component of the project from beginning to end, including personnel, contracts, schedules, finances, and risk management, while adhering to relevant local laws, procedures, systems, and internal standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary project contact for clients and customers worldwide.
- Assume leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle and assign tasks to the project team and other relevant business stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure that every project is planned and carried out according to client and corporate specifications, at the lowest possible cost, and on schedule.
- Make sure the project team is well‑prepared and organised to complete all tasks within the predetermined budgets, time frames, etc.
- Provide comprehensive updates and take appropriate action when necessary while collaborating closely with key teams like sales and engineering to make sure deadlines and commitments are being met.
- Coach other members of the operations team by imparting information, skills, and best practices.
- Work and communicate with the sales team, providing assistance with the commercial requirements as needed, and making sure that all quotes and associated costs optimise the company\’s return.
Requirements
- Demonstrated project management experience, preferably in the structural or civil engineering, or oil and gas sectors.
- Strong grasp of project costs and tight collaboration with the finance staff.
- Project management certifications like Prince2 or APM.
- A degree in a related field, preferably structural or civil engineering, is desirable.
- Experience managing people and teams is desirable.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary between £50,000 and £70,000 DOE
- Lowestoft office with hybrid working
- Opportunity for national and international travel, if interested
- Birthday off and the ability to buy or sell 5 days of holiday
