At the forefront of technological innovation, our client is a global leader with a stellar reputation, specializing in the development of cutting-edge space imaging electronics for space agencies globally. We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer with good knowledge of Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) parts to support the engineering, procurement and selection process, including the generation and review of project documentation for EEE parts that will make their way into a range of exciting space missions. Previous Product Assurance experience is desirable, but applications are welcome from Engineers who have experience of parts and materials from any relevant Electronics Engineering, QA Engineering, Hardware Design Engineering backgrounds.
Role Description:
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective project planning, execution, and quality control
- Identify, assess, and mitigate design and manufacturing quality risks
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for product non-conformance
- Support selection, procurement, and approval of EEE components and materials
- Generate and review key project documentation (e.g. PADs, DCLs, QSLs, reliability reports)
- Manage declared components and materials in ESA/Eclipse databases
- Support or lead Parts Control Boards and Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs)
- Contribute to RAMS activities in compliance with ESA standards (e.g. FMEA, FMECA, WCA)
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure quality expectations are met
- Provide global support including training and on-site engagement
- Embrace flexibility and creative problem-solving to support business growth and transformation
Experience and qualifications required:
- Experience of Product Assurance / Quality Assurance, either as a Product Assurance Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer, or gained in a related Engineering position
- Space, Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Semiconductor or similar industry experience
- A background in design and production for electro-mechanical parts and systems (with assemblies with electronics and software experience an advantage)
- A knowledge of high-reliability parts and materials
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
