Are you an experienced Optical Systems Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge aerospace technology? Do you want to take technical ownership of designing, developing, and delivering next-generation spacecraft optical payload? Then this might be the role for you!

In this key role, you’ll be involved in every stage of the mission—from concept to launch and in-orbit operation. As part of the core mission team, you'll collaborate with specialists across multiple engineering disciplines to push the boundaries of optical system performance in space.

Your Mission:
  • Lead the conceptual design and development of space-bound optical systems.
  • Manage work packages across multiple technical aspects of optical payloads.
  • Own requirements & specifications, ensuring seamless integration with mission objectives.
  • Oversee payload delivery, keeping schedules aligned with mission timelines.
  • Provide hands-on technical support throughout development, integration & testing.
  • Evaluate risks & propose mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
  • Engage directly with customers, presenting a holistic view of optical payloads.
  • Support business development, contributing to technical proposals and future projects.
Your Expertise:
  • Degree in Optics, Physics, or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proven aerospace or spacecraft experience in optical systems engineering.
  • Proficiency in optical design/analysis software (Optic Studio/Zemax, FRED preferred).
  • Experience with mechanical & numerical analysis tools (SolidWorks, Ansys, SigFit, Python, MATLAB).
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work independently & meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills & a team-first attitude.
