We are working with our client looking for a Senior Stock Controller to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the stores' function, ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, controlled and issued to support production and project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced stores or warehouse professional to play a key role in supporting a highly technical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will provide operational coordination and support to the stores' team while helping to maintain accurate stock records, efficient material flow and warehouse best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the stores and warehouse function
- Support and coordinate the stores team, ensuring workloads and priorities are effectively managed
- Receive, inspect and correctly store incoming materials and components
- Pick, issue and kit materials accurately for production and project requirements
- Maintain accurate stock levels and ERP transactions
- Carry out stock checks, investigate discrepancies and support inventory audits
- Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring correct packaging, labelling and documentation
- Maintain material traceability and effective storage practices
- Work closely with Production, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised stores environment in line with 5S standards
- Identify opportunities to improve stock control, material flow and warehouse efficiency
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members where required
