Our client is a globally recognised leader in advanced simulation and software solutions, working with an international customer base at the forefront of vehicle innovation. They are looking to hire a MATLAB and Simulink Engineer to join their growing software and R&D team.
Within this role you will play a key role in developing and integrating software components that power next-generation automotive technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 1–3 years of experience looking to develop their career within advanced engineering and simulation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain models using MATLAB / Simulink
- Produce clean, robust, and maintainable code aligned with development standards
- Take ownership of assigned components or features
- Collaborate with modelling, integration, and systems engineers to deliver project milestones
- Participate in code reviews and implement feedback
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects
- Support integration, testing, and real-time simulation activities
- Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor progress and escalate risks or issues when required
- Occasional travel to support integration or project activities
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Degree (BSc or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience using MATLAB / Simulink
- Understanding of real-time systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Desirable
- Automotive engineering experience or strong interest
- Experience with Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators
- Interest in vehicle dynamics, cars, or driving simulation
- Knowledge of EtherCAT / TwinCAT (Beckhoff)
- Exposure to simulation or control systems environments
