Key Tasks
- Primary role is an Analogue Design Engineer for Space Projects, including design, analysis, development, verification, test and delivery of the power subsystem/modules including Battery Charge/Discharge Regulators, Power Distribution Modules, Relay/Activation Modules, Drive Electronics for motors/mechanism, DC-DC converters (range from 5W-3kW), Heater Control Boards, Batteries and Solar Panels.
- Requirements capture and derivation from top level requirements to module level requirements.
- Design and delivery of Analogue/Power Electronics Modules in Spacecraft, which meet these requirements within the agreed schedule/cost.
- Management and verification of these requirements.
- Carrying out the required analysis to verify that these requirements will be met over the mission life-time including FMECA, WCA, PSA, Reliability Analysis, etc.
- Specifying and carrying out the verification tests on hardware.
- Authoring of technical documents (including test/verification plans, procedures and technical descriptions).

Previous Experience
- Analogue/Power Electronics Design experience, ideally in the Space or Aerospace Industries.
Qualifications Knowledge & Skills
- BTEC / Degree in Electronics or equivalent.
- Excellent understanding of analogue and power electronics.
- Familiarity with microprocessor and FPGA interfacing.
- Wide knowledge of electronic components, preferably for a space environment.
- Wide experience with schematic capture and simulation software (i.e. Mentor Graphics, OrCAD PSPICE, etc.).
