We’re looking for a Data & Integration Architect to lead enterprise data architecture and integration strategy across a complex technology landscape. You’ll define standards, shape target-state architecture, and ensure data and systems (ERP, CRM, digital platforms, SaaS) work together securely, reliably, and at scale.
This role suits a senior architect who enjoys setting direction, influencing delivery teams, and translating business needs into robust, future-proof technical designs.
Key Responsibilities- Data Architecture
- Own enterprise data architecture (conceptual, logical, physical models)
- Define canonical data models, taxonomies, and governance frameworks
- Architect data platforms (Data Lake, Warehouse, MDM, Analytics)
- Enable MI/BI, AI/ML, and reporting through high-quality, well-managed data
- Define retention, lifecycle, archival, and purge strategies
- Integration Architecture
- Lead integration strategy (API-led, event-driven, batch)
- Define standards for APIs, messaging, ETL/ELT, and iPaaS platforms
- Design integrations across ERP, CRM, digital and SaaS systems
- Govern API management, security, versioning, and documentation
- Ensure integrations are scalable, observable, and resilient
- Security, Governance & Compliance
- Design secure-by-design data and integration patterns
- Support GDPR, DPIAs, data classification, lineage, and auditability
- Partner with InfoSec on access control, encryption, and privacy
- Solution Architecture & Delivery
- Produce solution designs, integration diagrams, data flows, and interfaces
- Review designs for alignment with enterprise standards
- Support RFPs, vendor selection, and buy-vs-build decisions
- Strategy & Leadership
- Own data and integration roadmaps
- Drive adoption of cloud-native, API-first, and DDD principles
- Act as trusted advisor across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Customer teams
- Mentor engineers and analysts on best practice
- Reduced integration complexity and technical debt
- Improved data quality, governance, and lineage visibility
- Consistent adoption of enterprise data and integration patterns
- Stable, secure platforms supporting analytics and MI

- Essential
- Proven experience as Data Architect / Integration Architect / Enterprise Architect
- Strong Azure experience (Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, APIM, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid)
- Deep understanding of data modelling (relational, dimensional, canonical)
- Strong API and integration experience (REST, OpenAPI, GraphQL preferred, event streaming)
- Experience with ETL/ELT, iPaaS, Kafka/EventHub
- Solid knowledge of data governance, security, and GDPR
- Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams and documentation
- Desirable
- MDM, PIM/DAM, or data catalogue experience
- Large-scale transformation or integration modernisation programmes
- DDD, CQRS, event sourcing
- Architecting for AI/ML data needs
Rate and Details: £600-£700 per day, Outside IR35, 3 months, Hybrid with 3 days in the Solihull office.
