We’re seeking a Data & Analytics Analyst to support the delivery of enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions. This role is ideal for a contractor who enjoys working across data engineering, BI, and analytics delivery, partnering with stakeholders to turn business needs into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Engineering
- Support design, build, and maintenance of ETL pipelines
- Assist with data architecture, models, and documentation
- Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Deliver dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analysis
- Translate business needs into clear analytics requirements
- Validate and analyse diverse data sets
- Ensure BI outputs are accurate, reliable, and trusted
- Identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities
- User Experience & Delivery
- Develop user stories, personas, and analytics requirements
- Support delivery of analytics services aligned to business needs and SLAs
- Enable self-service reporting through guidance and best practice
- Monitor performance metrics and support continuous improvement
- Risk & Governance
- Support data risk management and incident resolution
- Ensure solutions align with architecture, security, and governance standards

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience across data analysis and business intelligence
- Strong SQL and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell or similar)
- Understanding of data management and analytics principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and stakeholder collaboration
Desirable
- Cloud data platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse)
- Data warehousing experience
- Power BI or similar BI tools
Rate and Details
Up to £510 per day Outside IR35 3 months Hybrid with 2-3 days in the Solihull office
