The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel is currently recruiting for Pastry Commis Chef to join our talented Commis Chef team. We’re an equal opportunities employer, and we welcome and value applications from all communities.

Responsibilities

  • Passionate about pastry and committed to learning
  • Ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times
  • Ensure that kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the Hotel
  • Follow closely the recipe specifications to ensure consistency of pastry/desserts
  • Ensure all mise-en-place is set up accordingly

Qualifications

  • Previous similar experience in a 5* luxury hotel, with medium to large banqueting and afternoon tea offering
  • Interest and passion in learning
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
