The Langham, London; Europe's first Grand Hotel, is currently recruiting for a Supervisor in our Palm Court lounge. The dazzling Palm Court is famed as the place where the tradition of afternoon tea was born over 150 years ago. In this role, we are looking for a true hospitality professional with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Ensure the smooth running of Palm Court, including Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Tea, to Conference and Banqueting events taking place in Palm Court.
- Demonstrate a real understanding of achieving and maintaining quality through effective service management.
- Lead a team that is genuine in delivering service excellence.
- Be operational and visible to the team.
- Assist with the achievement of departmental CSI results.
- Support the Departmental Trainer in conducting all on-the-job training for all colleagues to ensure all Company standards are adhered to.
ABOUT YOU
- Similar experience in a luxury 5* hotel.
- Passion for and excellent knowledge of food, beverage and service.
- The ability to lead by example and motivate a strong team.
- The ability to adapt swiftly and seamlessly to situations that arise.
- Confidence, professionalism and engaging personality.
- Good communication skills and a very good level of English.
