Director of Sales – Middle East Sales & Marketing – Travel Industry

ABOUT THE ROLE
In the role of a Director of Sales – Middle East, your key focus will be to:
- Develop a target list of new potential accounts and/or third-party agencies and undertake appropriate prospecting activity to realize potential opportunities and revenues. Ensure all Salesforce system is updated on a regular and timely basis.
- Undertake sales calls and presentations to establish, maintain, and grow relationships and maximize revenue from assigned account base within the geographical territory.
- Conduct hotel site inspections and host familiarization trips as required and entertain existing and prospective clients in line with the entertainment policy and budget.
- Undertake sales trips and attend tradeshows and industry events as required to achieve set objectives.
- Effectively handle incoming sales inquiries for VIP parties and groups within assigned territory, always with a view to supporting hotel conversion and maximizing the revenue opportunity.
- Proactively manage and develop relationships with any third-party agencies specializing in the Middle Eastern market.
- Work with the Director of Guest Experience to manage the summer season and maximize revenue for The Langham London from legacy and new business opportunities.
- Act as the key contact for Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) with Middle Eastern Embassies and High Commissions and serve as the key contact for Middle Eastern Royal Family private offices.
- Act as the LHG expert for the Middle East segment. Ensure hotels are coached with regards to diplomatic protocols and behaviors.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in a senior proactive sales role within a similar style and size property.
- Established prominent key stakeholder contacts within your sales market.
- Proven track record of ability to prospect for new business.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Command of Arabic and/or other languages (desirable).
- Sales/account management and business development skills.
- Previous use of Opera and Salesforce systems (advantageous).
