About the role

Reporting to the Senior Design Manager (London), you will support various projects as part of the design and technical services team.

Departmental activities will also include updates to design control standards, templates and presentations.

Your day-to-day focus, will be to

  • Coordinate and liaise with project managers, consultants, contractors, and internal LHG stakeholders on design, operations and implementation of hotel projects.
  • Support technical services activities to ensure design standards are consistent for all hotel brands within the group.
  • Support all stages of new and existing projects, ranging from feasibility studies, facility audit, drawing review, and pre-opening coordination.
  • Assess and review all aspects of hotel design, including MUR, FOH guest area & BOH operations.
  • Assist in developing briefs and concept narratives for new projects and potential in-house design initiatives.
  • Work to project timelines and construction schedules to ensure timely hotel openings.

You would be based at The Langham, London - London’s Original Grand Hotel and flagship of the Langham Hospitality Group, conveniently located in the heart of London’s West End.

  • Do you have? –
  • Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (essential).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in interior design with FF&E and space planning expertise on internationally recognized project, preferably in the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and hotel operations (desirable).
  • Experience on interior design projects from inception to completion with proven ability to deliver projects on time and to technical standards.

Knowledge in materials and detailing.

  • Creative problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on time, cost and quality.
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure to produce high quality results.
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD, Photoshop, In Design, MS Office & Bluebeam applications.
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Ability to travel for overseas site meetings and site inspections.
