The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and luxury 5* property, is currently recruiting for an Executive Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping Department. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

In the role of an Executive Housekeeper, your key focus will be to:

  • oversee and lead the housekeeping department, including Laundry, Valet and Florist services
  • participate in the preparation of the strategic business and operating plans
  • prepare the annual Housekeeping Department payroll and operating budgets and monthly expenditure forecast
  • implement strategies aimed at cost minimisation and productivity maximisation without compromising quality standards
  • monitor and review quality standards for the department
  • conduct daily checks of guest bedrooms, all public areas and guest corridors
  • attend promptly to all guest complaints and requests and follow up as necessary
  • always lead by example and inspire the teams to deliver highly personalised, anticipatory and memorable guest experience
  • build strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders

Do you have?

  • previous experience of working in a role of an Executive Housekeeper or Director of Housekeeping in a similar style and size property
  • previous experience and exposure to housekeeping, floristry, laundry and/or valet departments
  • strong numerical aptitude, ability to use Microsoft Office packages and Property Management Systems
  • ability to motivate, lead and inspire people
  • high levels of resilience, tenacity and drive
  • excellent customer service skills
  • great attention to detail
  • immaculate personal presentation
