We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join and work within the Alternative Investment Fund Management team, supporting in providing regulatory hosting services in the alternative investment strategy space (including debt, infrastructure, private equity, and real estate). Initially the apprentice will assist with administrative tasks, but depending on aptitude and interest, the role may evolve to a more compliance‑based role.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop essential professional skills, including providing effective support, working collaboratively within a team, and delivering excellent communication. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, a proactive approach, and a genuine drive to support others.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks using the CRM, updating databases, and managing diary and expenses.
  • Support the Head of Regulatory Services and team with Excel, PowerPoint presentations, bookings, and other office tasks.
  • Assist analysts with client oversight, regulatory hosting services, and checking anti‑money laundering compliance.
  • Coordinate with Companies House and conduct Google checks on appointed representatives, funds, and potential clients.
  • Deliver work to the expected standard and timeframes; forward invoices to clients and chase for payments, escalating where necessary.
  • Opportunity for training in further compliance functions such as client take‑on process, risk assessments, team minutes, partner reporting, and AIF reports.
  • Perform other ad‑hoc work as required.

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs with grades 9-4 (A* to C), including English and Maths.
  • No formal experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
  • Ability to think laterally and apply skills learned in the apprenticeship to the Alternative Investment Fund Management business.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an inquisitive mind‑set.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, focused company environment with hard‑working individuals.
  • Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and genuine drive to support others.

Training:

In accordance with the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 (ASCLA), the candidate will be expected to complete the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Level 3 Standard training qualification.
