We are looking for a motivated and detail-orientated Junior Developer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in supporting the development, optimisation, and governance of our internal systems, helping to drive efficiency and ensure best practice across our data and reporting processes. This role is ideal for someone eager to build their technical skills, contribute to systems development, and grow within a collaborative environment that values accuracy, structure, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and enhance internal systems to support financial and operational reporting needs.
- Design and optimise data flows from source documents to reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the development and customisation of financial reports within our internal systems.
- Promote and apply coding best practices, ensuring consistency and maintainability across all development activities.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development standards and processes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of system processes, data flows, and coding standards.
- Perform system testing to ensure functionality and data accuracy.
- Provide first-line technical support to internal users, troubleshooting issues and providing training where required.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve system performance and user experience.
- Support various IT and systems-related projects as required, contributing technical insights and solutions.
- Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.
- Exposure to VBA and SQL is advantageous, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
