The Role
This role will require the candidate to identify, originate and close new leads for UK and European fund sponsor clients for Langham Hall.
This will require the candidate to take a consultative approach, guiding clients through appropriate regulatory considerations, operating models and more.
This role will help Langham Hall build on its existing client base and reputation within private funds in the UK.
The European business has grown by over 50% in the last few years and continues to grow with a strong pipeline of new funds across multiple different strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and originate new business opportunities.
- Consult with managers on technical challenges faced, including regulatory and operational considerations.
- Lead multi-jurisdictional client pitches to top tier managers, and have the ability to close deals with decision makers.
- Develop, expand and build intermediary network and effective relationships to maximize opportunities for referrals and new business opportunities.
- Lead in the coordination and presentation of multi-jurisdictional sales proposals to international clients.
- Contribute to marketing and thought leadership activities, including generating new articles.
- Provide market feedback regarding competitive offerings and prospect needs, and generate development ideas.
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Attend relevant industry seminars, events and conferences.
- Desired Skills and Experience
- University Degree (Accounting/ Law/ Finance are desirable but not essential.)
- Own network within the Private Funds industry with relevant working experience in a commercial environment, e. g. Accounting, Law, Insurance is desirable not essential.
- Prior experience in private funds would be an added advantage.
- Able to manage coordination of complex multi-jurisdictional proposals involving multiple business lines.
- Entrepreneurial business focus, self-starter, attentive to details, team player with great interpersonal skills.
- Able to “solution sell” with the ability to listen to clients and understand their needs and wants, rather than simple transactional sales.
