Position Overview: We are currently seeking a meticulous Estimator to join our team in Dunfermline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, a keen eye for detail, and excellent analytical skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with clients and colleagues, and contribute to the success of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for metal fabrication and welding projects.
- Evaluate materials, labor, and equipment requirements to determine project costs and profitability.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
- Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Track and manage project costs throughout the lifecycle of each project, providing regular updates to stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the engineering industry, with a strong background in metal fabrication and welding.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately estimate project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
