When not deployed to site, personnel are integrated into our regional workshops to maintain continuity of work and skill development.
The Role
We are seeking a permanent Coded Welder to join our Site Services team, based from our Dunfermline facility. The role will involve working on customer sites across the UK, carrying out high-quality coded welding activities. When not required on site, the successful candidate will be based at our Dunfermline workshop, supporting fabrication and manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for an experienced coded welder looking for long-term stability while continuing to work on varied, high-specification projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out coded welding activities on site and within the Dunfermline workshop
- Weld to approved WPS and quality standards across a range of industrial applications
- Work across multiple welding processes, materials and positions
- Contribute to the fabrication and repair of pressure-retaining and structural components
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
- Comply with all site HSE requirements and Langfields quality systems
Ideal Candidate
- Time-served Welder with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Competent in TIG, MMA, FCAW and MIG welding processes
- Experience welding a variety of materials including carbon steels, stainless steels, duplex steels and nickel alloys, in multiple welding positions
- Previous welding codings to ASME IX and EN standards (current codings desirable but not essential)
- Proven experience working on pressure vessels, pipework, steelwork and heat exchangers
- Strong understanding of welding procedures, quality requirements and traceability
- Safety-conscious, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a site and workshop team
- Based within a commutable distance of Dunfermline
