The Opportunity We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team in Dunfermline. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in providing high-quality analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support informed decision-making across our projects and operations. You’ll be an integral part of the finance and project teams, helping to ensure financial accuracy, efficiency, and profitability across our commercial activities. Key Responsibilities * Maintain and update project cost reports to ensure accurate committed costs. * Provide quarterly budget updates in partnership with the Business Stream Lead. * Administer project contracts, ensuring variation orders and notifications are submitted on time. * Prepare and review Cost to Completes (CtoC) ahead of month-end, liaising closely with Project Managers. * Complete WIP (Work in Progress) reviews and support project teams in understanding financial performance. * Update the order book and assist with financial reforecasting. * Manage indirect cost of sales and overheads. * Prepare and submit project applications for payment and generate sales invoices. * Support debt collection and ensure projects are closed out efficiently. * Conduct commercial reviews post-project to identify learnings for future improvements. * Assist with procurement activities to achieve cost savings and margin improvements. * Uphold Langfields’ commitment to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: * Proven experience in a similar Commercial Finance Analyst or Project Finance role. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional teams. * Proficiency in Excel and financial systems, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively. * A proactive, organised, and results-driven approach.
