The Role
We are looking for a Welding Engineer to join our engineering team in Salford. This is a key role in supporting the delivery of high-integrity welded components and ensuring our welding processes meet the highest technical and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain welding procedures and specifications.
- Support weld qualification and testing activities.
- Provide technical support to production, fabrication, and inspection teams.
- Ensure compliance with international welding standards and project requirements.
- Prepare and review quality documentation, including ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).
- Collaborate with quality and inspection teams to maintain standards across projects.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in welding and fabrication processes.
Qualifications
Essential
- IWT (International Welding Technologist) qualification (minimum).
Desirable
- IWE (International Welding Engineer) or MSc in Welding Engineering.
- Experience working with pressure vessels or pressure systems.
- Knowledge of high-performance alloys (e.g. nickel alloys, duplex stainless steels, titanium).
- Understanding of quality management systems and/or possession of a quality-related qualification (bonus).
