Transport Operator
Full time, permanent basis. Working Monday to Friday.
Role Overview
Your role will be to develop and implement plans for the routing of company drivers and vehicles, ensuring all relevant resources are deployed cost‑effectively and efficiently.
- What you’ll be doing as our Transport Operator
- Build loads and plan routes efficiently and effectively.
- Regularly review and update plans and communicate with all relevant colleagues.
- Quote prices for movement of loads upon request.
- Ensure all company systems are updated accurately and on a timely basis and relevant paperwork is in place.
- Work closely with workshop colleagues to ensure resource requirements and service schedules are met.
- Maintain accurate and up–to–date records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified to Level 3 Supply Chain Operator or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a team‑based office environment, preferably in a customer‑facing role.
- Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data.
- Extensive knowledge and application of transport regulations and health & safety procedures.
Skills
- Ability to use initiative and be organised so key tasks are completed fully and on time.
- Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines.
