Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Stock Controller to join the team based in Barnsley. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £30,162.47 per annum plus excellent company benefits!
The Stock Controller role
To work in partnership with transport and warehouse colleagues to ensure that incoming and outgoing deliveries are handled and stored correctly and that all relevant records are created and maintained.

What you’ll be doing as our Stock Controller
- Act as key point of contact for despatch and receipt of customer goods, ensuring all products are quality checked, labelled and stored/picked correctly.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is in place for the storage and distribution of goods and company systems are updated.
- Respond to customer queries, ensuring any discrepancies are recorded, investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Update relevant records and brief colleagues on stock movement progress, taking action in consultation with management staff to ensure service standards are consistently met.
- Conduct regular and ad hoc stock checks, escalating any issues to management in a timely manner so that appropriate action can be taken.
- Advise and guide other colleagues where required to ensure all working procedures and processes are complied with.
What qualifications and experience are we looking for
- IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data.
- Extensive knowledge and application of health and safety procedures.

- Ability to use initiative and to be so organised that key tasks can be completed fully and on time.
- Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines.
