This role is based on-site at Langdale Hotel and Spa, Ambleside, LA22 9JD.

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join the team at Stove Kitchen. The role is responsible for helping to create exceptional culinary experiences and is a key position within the kitchen brigade, supporting consistently high standards of food quality while playing an important role in exceeding guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent delivery ofhigh-quality dishesacross all services (breakfast to dinner)

• Assist withstaff training, scheduling, and performance management

• Supportmenu preparation, inventory management, and cost control

• Identify and mitigate potential risks within kitchen operations

• Develop and proposeseasonal menu ideasbased on guest trends

• Maintain high standards ofhygiene, food safety, and kitchen organisation

• Actively participate in day-to-day kitchen operations

• Support and mentor junior chefs, promoting acollaborative team environment
