We are looking for a Chef de Partie to help run the breakfast offering in our Brimstone Hotel and our developing Spa Deli menu under the guidance of our Executive Chef. As a breakfast/deli Chef de Partie, you'll play a pivotal role in our evolving kitchen environment. Your primary objective will be to elevate our guests' dining experience by consistently delivering high-quality culinary creations, in line with the directives of our kitchen management.

You’ll be entrusted with the preparation of various food items and meal components over our Brimstone Hotel and Spa Deli, collaborating closely with our management team to ensure seamless kitchen operations and unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.

Role Requirements
  • Produce high-quality food with consistent standards of service and product delivery, covering breakfast service in our Brimstone Hotel and a lunch offering in our Spa Deli.
  • Execute various tasks such as preparing menus, mis-en-place, documenting inventories and preparing orders.
  • Work to set recipes and specifications to ensure consistency in our product.
  • Contribute to the control of cost through food maintenance and storage, stocking, and sanitary operations, highlighting risk to your line manager promptly.
  • Participate in the preparation and planning of meal arrangements as necessary, ensuring that all kitchen chores get carried out smoothly.
  • Ensure that inventory is monitored and recorded correctly, and fresh supplies get ordered as needed.
  • Maintain hygiene standards at all times and adhere to cleanliness regulations as well as safety standards.

Our Estate can accommodate 600 guests on site at any one time, and it is the job of all our kitchens to provide a variety of food that will encourage our guests to visit the restaurant time and time again. An individual who thrives off self-development and supporting the development of others and being a team player who wants to be part of the Langdale legacy is a must for any candidate to succeed in this position. They must communicate well and have a thorough understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.

A few 'need to knows'
  • This role is offered with a salary of £27,258.85 - £30,258.85.
  • Interview will be a Teams Call, followed by an onsite visit including time meeting the existing team and a tour of the grounds. Depending on your existing location, we can accommodate overnight stays.
  • Shift patterns consist of ten-hour shifts working over five days of our seven-day week. As part of our training programme (whether that be as a new starter or continuous role related training), colleagues are required to take part in all shift patterns.
  • All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
  • The role will be situated at our site in Greater Langdale, near Ambleside. Live in is available. Own transport is essential.
