Role Summary: As part of the Property & Estate Services team, provide a professional, responsive, preventative, and progressive service. As per the requirements of the business, carry out to the highest standards: reactive maintenance, programmed preventative maintenance, emergency response, planned refurbishment work, programme of scheduled checks and testing. Be the first point of contact for guests and staff regarding physical deficiencies and maintenance tasks throughout Langdale’s full building asset register.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the internal and external decorative finishes of Estate properties and other assets.
- Be familiar with the paint store and assist the Maintenance Manager with paint stock management and record keeping.
- Routinely inspect decorative finishes.
- Respond to job cards as allocated.
- Ensure maintenance and safe use of vehicles, tools, and equipment and log as required.
- Promote safe working practices and work within Langdale’s Health & Safety policy.
- Promote and work within the guidelines of Langdale’s Environment Policy.
- Report any fault, accidents, incidents and/or near misses to a manager.
- Be responsible for and proactive with fire safety and provide rapid response to fire alarm calls on site when on duty.
- Support the team in conducting weekly safety fire alarm tests.
- Directly interact with all stakeholders that require the department's services, maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
- Attend relevant training/refresher training as necessary to maintain role competency and compliance and engage with other learning and development opportunities as required.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining compliance of site assets.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager by undertaking any other reasonable work tasks, as required.
