Role Purpose

To support the kitchen team to keep kitchens running on schedule and within food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitised
  • Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts
  • Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
  • Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation
  • Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
  • Help kitchen managers manage inventory by organising food storage and telling them when items need to be ordered
  • Receive and unpack all deliveries, ensuring all food and supplies are correctly placed
  • Keep the food and supply storage areas organised
  • Help with routine food prep tasks when needed

Working Conditions

This role is based on-site at Langdale Hotel and Spa, Ambleside, LA22 9JD. Staff accommodation or relocation support may be available for exceptional candidates. All candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the UK at the start of employment.
