Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year.
We are now looking for a Breakfast Chef to report to the Executive Chef to deliver our delicious breakfast menus to our guests and ensure that during this service the department operates efficiently to maximise profitability and exceptional guest experience.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for preparation, cooking and presentation of food for the property’s breakfast menu.
- Overall responsibility for providing high levels of customer service throughout the breakfast service.
- Preparation of afternoon tea sandwiches and savoury items, as well as preparing, cooking, and serving items on the lounge and casual dining menus in line with the agreed Company guidelines.
- Accepting, signing off and checking in any early morning deliveries.
- Ensure the hygiene and cleanliness standards of the kitchen are always maintained.
- Daily cleaning, deep cleaning and sanitising the kitchen as required.
- Supporting the property with ensuring any materials and waste is recycled correctly.
Who are we looking for?
You will have worked previously in a similar role, ideally in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel, and have demonstrable experience in a fine dining environment. You will proactively be able to work calmly and well in a pressurised environment and have high levels of self-motivation. You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will have a strong work ethic, good timekeeping and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.
