The Role
As Sommelier, you will be the go-to expert for all things wine, delivering an unforgettable guest experience with every glass poured. You will curate and recommend from our extensive and carefully selected wine list, assist in pairings, educate staff, and help shape one of the most dynamic beverage programs in Mayfair.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional wine service with confidence, charm, and professionalism
- Guide guests through the wine list, offering personalised recommendations and pairings
- Maintain and manage cellar stock, inventory, and ordering
- Work closely with the Head Chef on wine and food pairing strategies
- Train and upskill FOH staff on wine knowledge and service techniques
- Stay current on industry trends, regions, vintages, and emerging producers
- Contribute to ongoing development of the wine list and beverage offering
About You
- A genuine passion for wine and hospitality
- WSET Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent experience; Level 3 or higher preferred
- Previous experience as a Sommelier or in a similar role within a premium or fine dining environment
- Strong communication and storytelling skills – you bring wine to life for guests
- Excellent organisational and cellar management skills
- Calm, professional, and polished under pressure
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, service-led environment
