Rate Guide: Β£50.00 - Β£53.00 Per Hour (Inside IR35)
Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for United Utilities. They are recruiting for a Mechanical CAD Technician on a long term contract basis to help deliver these projects.
Responsibilities:
- 3D Modelling to a level of detail suitable for construction
- 2D Drawing production to a level of detail suitable for construction including both layouts and general arrangements
- Quality control of models and drawings and updating drawing registers such as MIDP
- Ensure designs are completed in accordance with CDM Regulations
- Act as Digital Delivery Champion for MWH Treatment
- Co-ordination of drawing work undertaken by off-shore resources
- Development of younger members of the team and off-shore resource
- Coordinating design outputs across all technical disciplines
- Establish working relationships with design staff
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- 2D drafting skills, qualifications and experience
- 3D modelling skills, qualifications and experience
- Autodesk Revit and other 3D applications skills, qualifications and experience
- Bentley Projectwise experience
- Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Broad experience in the use and application of common engineering software and IT
- Working and theoretical understanding of CAD standards and QA processes
- Have an eye for detail and the ability to present complex designs clearly
- Self-starter, curious and inquiring nature with key interest in the detail of how civil structures come together
- Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and meet deadlines within a fast paced environment
